Dallas Metroplex Housing Market 2009

Dallas area home prices remain stronger than the rest of the country.  The median price home sales have dropped  approximately10% in the metroplex compared to the 30% to 36% drop nationwide.  Most major Texas cities went into the market downturn later than the rest of the country and will level off ahead of the U.S. average.  The DFW overall house decline should be less than 2% by the time the market hits bottom in the third quarter of 2009.  If you are looking to upgrade or relocate, now is a perfect time to be looking in the DFW metroplex.
